Waffles with Strawberries
Ingredients
2 cups of sliced strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar
4 cups flour
! teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 egg yolks, beaten
1-3/4 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1/4 cup powdered sugar, syrup or jelly
Directions
Heat your waffle iron.
Wash and slice the strawberries, toss with sugar and vanilla
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon
In a separate bowl, combine egg yolks, milk and vanillla
Add to dry ingredients and mix
Stir in vegetable oil
Carefully fold in egg whites
Do not over mix
Pour the amount needed in to your waffle iron.
Serve with strawberries and powdered sugar or syrup.
